Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!” Jesus was prophesying about the Holy Spirit that believers were being prepared to receive. But the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out upon them, because Jesus had not yet been unveiled in his full splendor.
John 7:37-39 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God, the Fountain of Life say,
Come. Drink. Be refreshed and renewed and re-lifed. Don’t take in that which is temporal, that which numbs, that which dulls and makes you drowsy. You are a child of the light and of the day. You must be on alert. You must be awake, for your enemy the devil roams around like a prowling lion seeking whom he may devour. Come to the fountain. Drink and be satisfied. Be reenergized, renewed. Catch fresh vision and delight in Me as the source of all strength, all life, all creativity, and the one who causes the road to unfurl before you. Whom or what shall you fear? No, do not fear. Come and be satisfied.
Could there be any other god like Yahweh? For there is not a more secure foundation than you. God, you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you. You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! You’ve set me free, and now I’m standing complete, ready to fight some more!
Psalms 18:31-36 TPT
Come and be restored, refreshed, renewed and feel the life burst with light in your veins. This is a time for joy and glory. This is not a time to assume the role of the tail. This is not a time to go into hiding or to assume the worst. This is the time to drink deeply of My love and bask in the glory of My light. Be filled. Be satisfied, and be re-charged so you can fight some more, so you can advance some more, so you can see clearly and hear clearly and discern well. The enemy likes to throw a haze over you, likes to make you believe you are back wandering in the desert. But I say no, those desert wandering wilderness days are over. These are days of light and life, of destiny and purpose, of blooming flowers all around. My living water is readily available. You can always return to my ever-flowing springs of life here and be satisfied. My living water, My truth, My Spirit are what you need in these days to advance in strength and bold confidence.
Who is this one? She arises out of her desert, clinging to her beloved. When I awakened you under the apple tree, as you were feasting upon me, I awakened your innermost being with the travail of birth as you longed for more of me.
Song of Songs 8:5 TPT
Shake off the lies, the doubt, the fear and the anxiety. They are not for you, and they are not from you. They are the darts of the enemy. Lift up your impenetrable shield of faith and tell that snake masquerading as a lion to take a hike. You are too busy to come down and discuss your plans with him. You live in this up higher place, and you are doing the building that will take you to the next level, the next season, the next victory. Don’t give the enemy a place, and give no foothold to doubt or fear or worry. This is the place of the free-flowing fountain of life. Come, drink, be filled and be satisfied. These are days of building.
How to Respond
- Shake off weariness, fear, doubt, worry and anxiety.
- Seek the Lord. Read the Word until you are encouraged and strengthened.
- Pray, Lord thank You that You have made me the head and not the tail. I’m so thankful that Your plans for me are to give me a future and a hope. Help me to correct my thinking and my heart, and to get in alignment with the truth of who You say I am and where You say I am going.
- Declare, “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” — Matthew 11:28-30 TPT
- Decree, I will not give in to the wiles of the enemy. I will strengthen myself in the Lord. I will drink deeply from the Lord’s fountain of living water, and I will be renewed, refreshed and revived. I will move forward in fresh, strong creativity, with clear vision and hearing and discernment on how to build what the Lord has called me to build.
