Listen! Are you thirsty for more? Come to the refreshing waters and drink. Even if you have no money, come, buy, and eat. Yes, come and buy all the wine and milk you desire— it won’t cost a thing. Why spend your hard-earned money on something that can’t nourish you or work so hard for something that can’t satisfy? So listen carefully to me and you’ll enjoy a sumptuous feast, delighting in the finest of food.
Isaiah 55:1-2 TPT
As I sat with the Lord in prayer this morning, I saw a rushing, crisp stream of water. I asked the Lord what it was. I heard Him say,
It’s My refreshing. My refreshing is here. You are battle weary. You are wildernessed out. You’re dry and dusty, and the sand and dust have caked all over your body. I’m bringing you into a time of refreshing. I’m bringing you from a time of striving just to attain, just to regain what you could do before into a time of ease. Choose the rest. Choose the peace. Choose the quieter tempo that comes with refreshing. The wilderness is behind you. Leave it behind. The battlefield is before you. So rest. Rest up. Get refreshed. Recharge in the joy of knowing Me, of abiding with Me, of dwelling in My Presence under the shadow of My wing.
Pay attention and come closer to me, and hear, that your total being may flourish. I will enter into an everlasting covenant with you, and I will show you the same faithful love that I showed David. See! I made him a witness to the nations, an example of leadership, as prince and commander of peoples.
Isaiah 55:3-4 TPT
This is a time of a great canopy of My favor and kindness. Don’t miss the refreshing. Don’t miss the fresh oil, the fresh outpouring, the crisp, fresh flow of My living water. It will restore your soul. It will rinse the residue and the muck from your time in the wilderness. As you rinse off in My living waters, you will find that your edges are less sharp, that your skin is more soft. You will see that I worked off a lot of the roughness, the harshness, the brashness, the sharpness that once was part of you.
As the snow and rain that fall from heaven do not return until they have accomplished their purpose, soaking the earth and causing it to sprout with new life, providing seed to sow and bread to eat. So also will be the word that I speak; it does not return to me unfulfilled. My word performs my purpose and fulfills the mission I sent it out to accomplish.” For you will leave your exile with joy and be led home wrapped in peace. The mountains and hills in front of you will burst into singing and the trees of the field will applaud!
Isaiah 55:10-12 TPT
As you dip and submerge and wash in My living waters, you will see that your soul feels younger, that your heart feels lighter, that you can meet My gaze with the delight of a well-loved child rather than a fearful, shame-ridden adult. This refreshing is a re-youthing. You will look younger, feel younger, lighter, brighter and more buoyant than ever before. This is the freedom and the power of My energetic grace washing over you for great refreshing, for renewing, for re-you-ing. This is the time of choosing and stepping into the new you.
Cypress trees will flourish where there were only thorns and myrtle trees instead of briars. These will stand as a testimony to Yahweh’s renown, everlasting signs that will not be cut off.

My grace is here. My powerful, energetic grace is here. My living, crisp, clean refreshing living waters are here. They will revive you. They will re-life you. They will renew you, and they will offer the opportunity to step into, to choose to be the totally new you. This is the product, this is the person, this is the creation that has been chiseled in the wilderness. Choose the refreshing and choose to step into the new you.
How to Respond
- Choose to leave the wilderness days behind, and step into the Lord’s refreshing. Choose to be the new you He has created in the wilderness.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Show me how to make this choice. Show me how to leave the wilderness that has become so familiar, and help me walk into the new day, the refreshing of Your living waters, the cleansing, renewal and revival of my soul — and help me to choose to be the totally new me that You forged and chiseled in the desert.
- Declare, Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. — Psalms 23:1-3 TPT
- Declare, You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! — Psalms 103:4-5 TPT
- Decree, The Lord has provided me with a time of refreshing. He is making it available through His powerful, energetic grace. Freedom is available. Cleansing and renewal, abiding and joy refueling are all available here. I have left the familiar days and ways of the wilderness behind, and I have walked into this protected place of refreshing. It is here that the Lord is revealing to me the new me He has made me to be.
