Psalm 119
Lamentations 3
How can a young man stay pure? Only by living in the Word of God and walking in its truth. I have longed for you with the passion of my heart; don’t let me stray from your directions! I consider your Word to be my greatest treasure, and I treasure it in my heart to keep me from committing sin’s treason against you. My wonderful God, you are to be praised above all; teach me the power of your decrees! I speak continually of your laws as I recite out loud your counsel to me.
Psalms 119:9-13 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Cherish My Words. Hold them dear in your heart. My Words are life, and they carry fruitfulness. My Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. My words are your daily bread. Man does not eat by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Give me revelation about the meaning of your ways so I can enjoy the reward of following them fully. Give me an understanding heart so that I can passionately know and obey your truth. Guide me into the paths that please you, for I take delight in all that you say. Cause my heart to bow before your words of wisdom and not to the wealth of this world. Help me turn my eyes away from illusions so that I pursue only that which is true; drench my soul with life as I walk in your paths. Reassure me of your promises, for I am your beloved, your servant who bows before you.
Psalms 119:33-38 TPT
Treasure My words. Cherish My words. Exalt My Word and My Name in your heart. The road ahead is long, but discerning the path to take does not need to be difficult or confusing. The road ahead may seem dark, but My words will light it for you. Don’t fear the future. Don’t fear the days ahead — the hows, the wheres, the with whats and with whos? Hear My words. Seek My words. Discern what I put in your heart and what I say to you through scriptures, friends, pastors, teachers and books. My words are all around you, continually speaking to you. Will you see them? Will you look for them? Will you recognize them?
Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear.
Psalms 119:105 TPT
This is a time of great confirmation. I Am not asking you to walk out on faith without a word and confirmations. For most moves you will get multiple confirmations, so move with those. Go forward in those. Look for those and trust in those. That is the essence of faith — the belief that you will hear and receive what you need to move forward. That is the very essence of faith. Trust in Me. Walk with Me. Look for, seek and receive My words. They will guide you well on the road ahead.
How to Respond
- Press in to hear the voice of the Lord and the word of confirmation you need to move forward.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You unerringly lead me into all truth. Thank You that You can see the road ahead clearly even though I cannot. Help me to pursue the sound of Your voice and the word that You are already speaking, so that I can move forward well and in confidence.
- Declare, Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him.” Yahweh is always good to all who trust in him, to the soul who searches for him.”
Lamentations 3:22-25 TPT - Decree, I will walk by faith and not by sight. The Lord has provided a way for me, a path for me and multiple confirmations for me. I live with expectation that I will see the signs and the words that the Lord has for me. I will not doubt them, hesitate or waver. I will walk forward in bold confidence knowing that the Lord has confirmed my next step.
