Today’s Reading:
Ezekiel 37
Psalm 63
Yahweh’s powerful presence was upon me, and his Spirit lifted me up and carried me away. He set me down in the middle of a valley floor that was covered with countless bones. He made me walk all around the valley among all the vast piles of bones. There in the valley there were very many, very dry bones. Yahweh asked me, “Son of man, can these bones come back to life again?” And I replied, “Lord Yahweh, you are the only one who knows.”
Ezekiel 37:1-3 TPT
In a vision in prayer with the Lord this morning, I saw dry, dislocated, long dead bones coming back together. Then I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m breathing life back into My Church. I’m breathing life back into the dead dry bones that have succumbed to the suffocation of religion. I Am rejoining the dead dry bones, and I Am breathing life into My Church that has been overcome and overtaken and taken out by the stealing of the breath of God through the suffocating, breath stealing toxin of religion. No more will religion rule over My people as a tyrant, sucking the life out of them and causing their bones to become brittle and then very dry. No more will their mouths be parched and their lungs be gasping for air that is not there. My life giving breath is breathing on My Church, on believers, on all who have grown parched, dry and weary in a land where there is no water, no life, no breath.
Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these dry bones these words, ‘Dry bones, hear what Yahweh says. Lord Yahweh says to you: “ ‘I am now going to breathe into you, and you will live again! I will attach muscles and sinews to you. I will make flesh grow on you. I will cover you with skin. I am going to breathe into you, and you will live again. And you will know that I am Yahweh.’ ” So I prophesied as I had been told. And as I was prophesying, I began to hear a commotion. Behold! It was the clattering of these many skeletons coming together, bone to bone!
Ezekiel 37:4-7 TPT
I Am singing over these dry bones, over these dead and lifeless ones, “come alive, come alive in the Name of Jesus!” This is your hour to shine. This is your hour to run, to leap and to praise the Lord your God from whom all blessings flow, the Author and the Breath, the very Source of your life. I Am reconnecting you to the Living Vine. I Am dusting off the sand and dust of this dry place where you have been scattered, that had you listless, lifeless, visionless and breathless. And I Am reconnecting you to the Vine, to the Source of all living waters. I Am reviving you. Your bones will flourish. Your flesh will be healed and supple with new life. Your lungs will breathe big, full capacity lungfulls of fresh air, from the breath of God and be revived.
And as I kept watching, muscles and sinews miraculously appeared! Flesh grew on the bones, and then skin wrapped completely around them, yet there was still no life-breath in them. Then Yahweh said to me, “Prophesy to the breath. Yes, prophesy, son of man. Say to the breath, ‘Lord Yahweh says: Divine breath, come now from the four winds. Breathe on these lifeless bodies, so that they can live again.’ ” So I prophesied as he had told me, and the breath entered their bodies. They came alive, got up from the ground, and stood to their feet—a very great, immense army. Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones represent the entire house of Israel. They keep saying, ‘We are as dry as these dead bones. Our nation has been completely destroyed, and we have lost all hope.’ “So, prophesy to them, ‘Lord Yahweh says to you: Behold! I am now going to open your graves! My people, I will resurrect you out of your graves and lead you home to the land of Israel. And when I open your graves and raise you up, then, my people, you will be convinced that I am Yahweh. And I will put my Holy Spirit within you, and you will live again. I will resettle you on your own soil. Then you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who spoke to you, and I do what I say. I, Lord Yahweh, have spoken.’”
Ezekiel 37:8-14 TPT
I Am reviving those the enemy sought to take out in the desert, in the valley. And I Am singing over them, speaking over them, breathing on them and bringing them back to full, vibrant life. They will be stronger than they were before. They will burn with fire in their eyes in a way they never have before. And they will fight fearlessly. How can one who now lives, one who was once dead, listless, hopeless and without breath fear the days ahead? Their Savior has revived them for the fight. Their Lord has revived them and put breath in their lungs for worship, for prophecy, for great exploits. Whom or what shall you fear? Whom or what shall they fear? This is the time that My breath is resuscitating many lives, many dreams, many plans that the enemy took out in the desert — where he used lies and religion as a weapon against My people. In this new power, in their revived state, they will roll over him and his plans as powerfully an unforgivingly as tank rolls over the ground. Days of My mighty, revived Spirit-filled, breath-filled, fire-filled warriors have arrived. I have brought these dead and dry bones, these vacant lungs back to life. They have come alive, and they are coming to life.
Note: I get the sense that this is both a personal word for believers who have felt dry, scattered, visionless & breathless. And I also believe it is a word for the Jewish people at this critical hour of conflict.
How to Respond
- Expect and seek the refreshing and reviving of the Lord’s breath in your life.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Breathe on me. Revive my dry bones. Resuscitate my dead dreams. Breathe life into my body and soul again. Enable me to dance, to dream, to see, to fight. Reconnect me to Your living vine and the source of your living waters afresh. Lord, bring peace to Jerusalem and to all of Your people of the House of David. Return them to their first love. Revive hunger for You, Your Word and Your ways among the Jewish people and all peoples of the Earth.
- Declare, O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory. — Psalms 63:1-2 TPT
- Decree, The Lord is singing over dead, dry lives and dreams. He is commanding and breathing life, refreshing, vision and power into what the enemy took out with his lies and schemes using the veil of religion. The Lord is raising up His believers from the desert. And He is raising up Israel from the valley. he enemy was mistaken when he thought he had defeated all of us. And he is making us into a mighty, fearless army.
